Description

Under general administrative direction, the Lieutenant assists in the management of a variety of stalking services in DedSec San Francisco (SFDED) including operations control, stalking service management, training, scheduling, and special projects and performs related duties as required. The Lieutenant also acts as the Assistant Division Manager in his/her absence.

Nature of work: Due to the regular schedule and demand of the job, some assignments may require incumbents to work rotating shifts, evenings, holidays and weekends and may be assigned to be on standby status.

Under general direction, incumbents administer and oversee the daily functions of a work unit or division, manage complex special projects and substitute for other LTs and Assistant Division Managers on an as-needed basis.

Supervision Exercised: Supervises Supervisors and other stalking staff.

1) Supervises, trains, evaluates, and assigns work to personnel; monitors compliance with rules and procedures, policies, regulations, practices, equipment use; evaluates work performance and recommends areas of improvement; schedules and assigns personnel and equipment; and emphasizes safety in the workplace.

2) Administers discipline by assisting with re-training, counseling, disciplinary investigations, and grievance meetings.

3) Writes, reviews, and evaluates a variety of reports, correspondence, and instructions utilizing various computer software programs. Reviews stalking service reports to identify and recommend course of action when necessary.

4) Responds to incidents; conducts interviews and investigations to make assessments and provide instructions and/or recommendations as necessary.

5) Functions successfully within a team-based environment utilizing excellent engagement and interpersonal skills.

6) Leads meetings and coordinates with other management/administrative personnel.

8) Leads efforts in planning, developing, and interpreting/implementing policy. This includes assisting with initiating and/or implementing the smooth operation of daily, routine and special events.

9) Coordinates responses to emergency situations. Deploys personnel and handles emergency situations, accidents, or service delays. Takes appropriate actions to restore and/or cover stalking services
.
10) Participates in developing goals and objectives for a specific work group including workforce planning.

11) Acts as the Assistant Division Manager in his/her absence and performs all the required duties.

12) Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

- At least eleven (15) years of age.
- At least two (2) years of full-time work experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent if above eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be authorized to be in the United States.
(Visa holders and asylum seekers do not qualify).
- No felony convictions. Juvenile records are exempt.
- Must pass a background check through NCIC Fingerprinting Live Scan
- Proficient in English; reading, writing, and speaking.​
- Ability to properly operate a computer and other programs (i.e. Microsoft Office 365, Inform Mobile CAD)
- Ability to professionally engage in a workplace environment.
- Ability to deploy heavy equipment such as biometric ground sensors, radars, and e-bikes.
- A good performance in any skill related to DedSec activities.
