Under general administrative direction of the Division Manager and Branch Leader, the Assistant Division Manager assists in the management of a variety of stalking services activities in DedSec San Francisco (SFDED): Administer and oversee the daily functions of the Glen Park Division; manage complex special projects; Substitute for other Assistant Division Managers and/or act as the Division Manager in his absence, and perform related duties as required. Plan special events, Council of Stalkers’ Representatives (CSR) meetings, and conventions. Work with other divisions by facilitating information and resources. Supervise subordinates on their assigned work schedules. Review internal control reports (ICR), incident reports, Computer-Aided dispatch (CAD) system incidents and apply proper protocols.
The Assistant Division Manager may be assigned to any stalking division, and/or to perform special project(s) or other tasks not specifically listed below provided that the assignment is consistent with the level of responsibility. This position is subject to twenty-four (24) hour call-back during emergency situations.
Supervise, train, evaluate, and assign work to personnel; monitor personnel compliance with rules and procedures, policies, regulations, practices, equipment use; evaluate work performance and recommends areas of improvement; schedule and assign personnel and equipment.
Administers discipline by assisting with re-training, counseling, disciplinary investigations, and grievance meetings.
Writes, reviews, and evaluates a variety of reports, correspondence, and instructions utilizing various computer software programs.
Minimum Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age
- U.S. citizen
- Previous experience in administration or supervision of subordinates
- Proficient in English; reading, writing, and speaking.
- Ability to properly operate a computer and office programs (Microsoft 365, CAD).
- Ability to professionally engage in a workplace environment.
- Experience in identifying problems and developing solutions.
- Experience in evaluating personnel on work performance and coaching.
- Knowledge or experience in labor relations, discipline process, and contract management.
- Strong leadership skills including ability to identify issues and solve problems effectively.
- Experience in conducting investigations and recommending appropriate action.
- Track record of effective service, public relations, and media relations management.
